Home Organizing

Welcome to Naugle Designs!

March 10, 2023

Hi there! I am so happy that you found me over here in my little space on the internet.

I’m Nicole, the professional organizer that founded Naugle Designs. I help busy women declutter, organize, and style their homes so they can focus on what is important to them.

If you would have told me that I would become a professional organizer when I was a kid, I probably would have laughed. For those of you that are psychology nerds like I am, I am an ENFP and an enneagram 7w8… not exactly descriptors for the majority of professional organizers.

I am a judgment-free zone, and I don’t believe there is only one way to organize or style your home. I prefer to remain flexible and help you organize your home in a way that makes sense to you and whoever else lives in your home. Don’t worry Type A friends, I also have a system to follow, and I can provide more structure for you.

I grew up with a single mom and we moved often. It was always very important to me that I decorate and organize my new bedroom every time we moved. I was also in charge of hanging curtains, putting furniture together, and most things related to decorating. I continued to move around as an adult, and one of the few possessions that always made it into a moving box was my collection of Domino magazines. Although I donated those magazines to a local school a few years ago, I still love a good home magazine. I promise I won’t make you get rid of your magazines or books if you love them!

Fast-forward to today. Being a business owner with a husband, teenager, and toddler keeps me on my toes. I am grateful that we can all enjoy an organized home. Does it always look perfect? Of course not. Still, the organizing systems that we have in place help us quickly get the house back in order… despite the toddler’s elaborate attempts to “un-organize” everything. But, enough about me. Let’s talk about you!

First, I want to let you know that there is no shame in having an unorganized home. Life is constantly changing. You buy a house. You get married. Babies are born. You change careers. Kids get older. Older relatives move in with you. You buy a new house. You get divorced. You start new hobbies. You get remarried. A loved one passes away… I mention this because often when a change occurs, people feel overwhelmed and feel that their spaces are no longer working for them. I encourage you to show yourself some grace. Having to reorganize or restyle your home is no different than having to switch up your workout or skincare routine to see results when your old routines stop being effective.

Second, organizing your home is so much more than pretty baskets and containers. I love seeing dramatic change in my client’s lives. It is so rewarding to see clients (who previously wouldn’t let anyone into their homes) hosting parties or encouraging their children to invite friends over.  I’ve seen women free up enough time to pursue new careers, further their education, or simply have time to take a vacation. I’ve talked to women who were able to decrease their anxiety and women who were able to improve their relationships with their spouse and children after decluttering and organizing.

It seems silly, but organizing your home can change your life. If you need help decluttering and organizing your home, I will happily be your guide and cheer you on through the difficult decisions. I want you to love your home and have more time to enjoy your life.
